● أللَّهُمَّ زِدْنَا وَلا تَنْقُصْنَا وَأَكْرِمْنَا وَلا تُهِنَّا، وَأَعْطِنَا وَلا تَحْرُمْنَا وَآثِرْنَا وَلا تُؤْثِرْ عَلَيْنَا وَأرْضِنَا وَارْضَ عَنَّا.	O God! Add something to us and reduce not (anything) from us, keep us in honor and make us not humiliated, bestow (something) on us and deprive us not of (anything), give us superiority (to others) and subject us not to others' superiority, and make us pleased and be pleased with us.
● أللَّهُمَّ مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ أُمَّتِي شَيْئَاً فَشَقَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَاشْقُقْ عَلَيْهِ؛ وَمَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ أُمَّتِي شَيْئَاً فَرَفِقَ بِهِمْ فَارْفَقْ بِهِ.	O God! Be hard on the leaders who are hard on my people, and treat with moderation those leaders who treat my people in like manner.
● أللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِيْ فَحَسِّنْ خُلْقِي.	O God! Beautify my temper as You beautified my face.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلى غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَسَكَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ.	O God! befriend me to put up with the pains and agonies of death.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَغْنِنِي بِالْعِلْمِ، وَزَيِّنِيِّ بِالْحِلْمِ، وَأَكْرِمْنِي بِالتَّقْوى، وَجَمِّلْنِي بِالْعَافِيَةِ.	O God! Enrich me with knowledge, adorn me with forbearance, endear me with piety and beautify me with health.
● أللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ رِزْقِكَ عَلَيَّ عِنْدَ كِبَرِ سِنِّي وَانْقِطَاعِ عُمْري.	O God! expand Your sustenance for me in old age and last days of my life.
● أللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي وَوَسِّعْ لِي في دَارِي وَبَارِكْ لِي في رِزْقِي.	O God! forgive my sins, expand my house and bestow your blessing on my sustenance.
● أللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي، وَوَسِّعْ لِي في	O God! forgive my sins, grant me expansion in my house and give me

دَارِي، وَبَارِكْ لِي في رِزْقِي.	abundance in sustenance.
● أللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي وَجَهْلِي وَاِسْرَافِي في أَمْرِي، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي. أللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطَئِي وَعَمْدِي وَهَزْلِي وَجِدِّي، وَكُلَّ ذلِكَ عِنْدِي. أللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ.	O God! forgive my sins, ignorance, prodigality and what you know of me better than I do. O God! Forgive my intentional and non- intentional slips, my serious and non- serious acts (and sayings) and all my faults. O God! Forgive my past and future sins and my overt and covert ones.
● أللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِيْ بَدَنِي. أللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِيْ سَمْعِي. أللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي. أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ. أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّيْ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، لا اِلهَ اِلاّ أَنْتَ.	O God! Grant me health of body, ears and eyes. O God! I take refuge in You from poverty and blasphemy and from the chastisement in grave. There is no god but You.
● أللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي عَيْنَيْنِ هَطَّالَتَيْنِ؛ تَشْفِيَانِ الْقَلْبَ بِذُرُوفِ الدُّمُوعِ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ؛ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَكُونَ الدُّمُوعُ دَمَاً وَالاَضْرَاسُ جَمْرَاً.	O God! Grant me two tearful eyes to cure my heart through tears shed out of your fear, before tears turn into blood and teeth into fire.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِبَتَنَا في الاُمُورِ كُلِّها، وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيا وَعَذَابِ الآخِرَةِ.	O God! grant us a good ending in all affairs, and save us from humiliation here and chastisement in the Hereafter.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى.	O God! I beseech you to grant me guidance, virtue, chastity and needlessness.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ صِحَّةً في اِيْمَانٍ؛ وَاِيْمَانَاً في حُسْنِ خُلْقٍ؛ وَنَجَاحَاً يَتْبَعُهُ فَلاحٌ.	O God! I beseech You to grant me health coupled with faith, faith coupled with good- temperedness and safety accompanied by prosperity.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَأعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّرِّ	O God! I beseech You to grant me the good which I know and which I know not, and I take refuge in You from the evil which I know and I

كُلِّهِ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ.	know not.
● أللَّهُمَّ بِعِلْمِكَ الْغَيْبَ وَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ أَحْيِنِي مَا عَلِمْتَ الْحَيَاةَ خَيْرَاً لِي؛ وَتَوَفَّنِي اِذا عَلِمْتَ الْوَفَاةَ خَيْرَاً لِي، أللَّهُمَّ وَأَسْأَلُكَ خَشْيَتَكَ في الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهادَةِ؛ وَأَسْأَلُكَ كَلِمَةَ اْلاِخْلاصِ في الرِّضَا وَالْغَضَبِ؛ وَأَسْأَلُكَ الْقَصْدَ فِيْ الْفَقْرِ وَالْغِنَى.	O God! I swear you by Your unseen knowledge and Your power in creation to keep me alive as long as You see life to my good and make me die as long as You see death to my good. O God! I beseech You to grant me the fear of You in public and privacy, to bestow on me sincere exprssion in pleasure and displeasure (anger), and to confer on me moderation in richness and poverty.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَارِ السُّوءِ في دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ؛ فَاِنَّ جَارَ الْبَادِيَةِ يَتَحَوَّلُ.	O God! I take refuge in You from a bad neighbor in my permanent abode, for the neighbor of desert will soon change place.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ خَلِيْلِ مَاكِرٍ؛ عَيْنَاهُ تَرَيَانِي وَقَلْبُهُ يَرْعَانِي؛ اِنْ رَأى حَسَنَةً دَفَنَهَا؛ وَاِنْ رَأى سَيِّئَةً أَذَاعَهَا.	O God! I take refuge in You from a deceitful friend, whose eyes watch me out and whose heart is on the track of me, seeing good, he will hide it and discovering evil, he will spread it out.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ مُنْكَرَاتِ الاَخْلاقِ وَالاَعْمَالِ وَالاَهْوَاءِ وَالاَدْوَاءِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from bad morals, evil deeds, sinful desires and dangerous diseases.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ العَدُوِّ وَشَمَاتَةِ الأعْدَاءِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from excessive debts, the victory of enemies and the taunting of adversaries.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ يَوْمِ السُّوءِ؛ وَمِنْ لَيْلَةِ السُّوءِ؛ وَمِنْ سَاعَةِ السُّوءِ وَمِنْ صَاحِبِ السُّوءِ؛ وَمِنْ جَارِ السُّوءِ في دَارِ الْمُقَامَةِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from ill- omened days, nights and hours, from bad friends, and from undesirable neighbors in the permanent abode.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ	O God! I take refuge in You from indolence, senility, transgression,

وَالْمَأْثَم وَالْمَغْرَمِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ النَّارِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ فِتْنَةِ الْغِنَى، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ.	debt, the blight and chastisement of Hell, the blight of indigence and that of affluence.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَالْقِلَّةِ وَالذِّلَةِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ.	O God! I take refuge in You from poverty, indigence and abjectness, and from being oppressed or being an oppressor.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَفَجَأَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَجَمِيْعِ سَخَطِكَ.	O God! I take refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the reversal of health, Your sudden wrath, and all the things which give rise to Your dissatisfaction.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لا يَنْفَعُ؛ وَعَمَلٍ لا يُرْفَعُ؛ وَدُعَاءٍ لا يُسْمَعُ.	O God! I take refuge in You from the knowledge with no use, the action not accepted and the prayer not granted.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ النِّسَاءِ؛ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from the seditions of women and the chastisement in grave.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لا يَنْفَعُ وَقَلْبٍ لا يَخْشَعُ؛ وَدُعَاءٍ لا يُسْمَعُ؛ وَنَفْسٍ لا تَشْبَعُ؛ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أللَّهُمَّ مِنْ شَرِّ هؤُلآءِ ألاَرْبَعِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from useless knowledge, immodest heart, prayers ungranted and the unquenchable soul. O God! I take refuge in you from the evil of these four (things).
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِن الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّى‏ءِ الاَسْقَامِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from vitiligo, insanity, leprosy and (all) bad diseases.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْقَسْوَةِ وَالْغَفْلَةِ وَالْعَيْنَةِ وَالْذِّلَّةِ وَالْمَسْكَنَةِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْفَقْرِ وَالْكُفْرِ وَالْفُسُوقِ وَالشِّقَاقِ وَالنِّفَاقِ	O God! I take refuge in You from weakness, laziness, fear, misery, old age, hard- heartedness, negligence and indigence, I take refuge in You from poverty, infidelity, debauchery, hypocrisy, conflict and dissimulation, and I take refuge in You from

وَالسُّمْعَةِ وَالرِّيَاءِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْصَّمَم وَالْبَكَمِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَالْبَرَصِ وَسَيِّى‏ءِ الأسْقَامِ.	deafness, dumbness, madness, leprosy, vitiligo and (all) bad diseases.
● أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ.	O God! I take refuge in You from weakness, laziness, fear, misery and old age, I take refuge in You from chastisement in the grave and punishment in Hell, and I take refuge in You from trials in life and in death.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِيْنِيَ الَّذي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِيَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي، وَاجْعَلِ الْحَيَاةَ زِيادَةً لِي في كُلِّ خَيْرٍ، وَاجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ.	O God! improve my faith for it saves my affairs, improve my worldly life for in it my sustenance lies and improve my eternal life for towards it is my return. O God! conjoin my life with increase of the good, and my death with relief from all evils.
● أللَّهُمَّ لا تَكِلْنِي اِلى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ؛ وَلا تَنْزِعْ مِنِّي صَالِحَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَنِي.	O God! Leave me not on my own for a twinkling of an eye, and deprive me not of the best of Your gifts.
● أللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لأُمَّتِي في بُكُورِهَا.	O God! Make early rising blessed for my nation.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ ذَاتَ بَيْنِنَا، وَأَلِّفْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِنَا، وَاهْدِنَا سُبُلَ السَّلامِ، وَنَجِّنَا مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ اِلَى النُّورِ، وَجَنِّبْنَا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْها وَمَا بَطَنَ. أللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا في أَسْمَاعِنَا وَأَبْصَارِنَا وَقُلُوبِنَا وَأَزْواجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا، وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا اِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَابُ الرَّحِيْمُ.	O God! make it up among us, unite our hearts, lead us to peace (of mind), guide us from darkness to wards light and save us from overt and covert indecencies. O God! bless our ears, eyes, hearts, wives and children and accept our repentance, for you are assuredly the Merciful one who accepts repentance.

● أللَّهُمَّ أَنْفِعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي، وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي، وَزِدْنِي عِلْمَاً.	O God! Make me benefit from what You have taught me, teach me what is of benefit to me and increase my knowledge.
● أللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي أَخْشَاكَ حَتَّى كَأَنِّي أَرَاكَ، وَأسْعِدْني بِتَقْوَاكَ وَلا تَشْقِنِي بِمَعْصِيَتِكَ، وَخِرْ لِي في قَضَائِكَ، وَبَارِكْ لِي في قَدَرِكَ، حَتَّى لا أُحِبَّ تَعْجِيْلَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ، وَلا تَأْخِيرَ مَا عَجَّلْتَ، وَاجْعَلْ غِنَاي في نَفْسِي.	O God! make me fear You (in such a way) as if you were in my view. O God! grant me felicity through piety and spare me adversity due to disobeying Thee. O God! determine for me your (good) destiny and bless me with your decree, so that I would not like to ask you for a change in what you have put first or last. O God! enrich my soul.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مِسْكِيْنَاً؛ وَتَوَفَّنِي مِسْكِيْنَاً؛ وَاحْشُرْنِي في زُمْرَةِ الْمَسَاكِيْنِ؛ وَاِنَّ أَشْقَى الأشْقِيَاءِ مَنْ اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ فَقْرُ الدُّنْيا وَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ.	O God! make me live a poor life, die a poor man and associate with the poor in the Hereafter. The most wretched of all the wretched is the one who conjoins worldly poverty with otherworldly punishment.
● أللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي شَكُورًا، وَاجْعَلْنِي صَبُورًا، وَاجْعَلْنِي في عَيْنِي صَغِيْرًا، وَفي أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ كَبِيْرَاً.	O God! make me thankful, patient, insignificant in my own sight and great in people's.
● أللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الَّذِينَ اِذا أَحْسَنُوا اسْتَبْشَرُوا، وَاِذا أَسَاؤُا اسْتَغْفَرُوا.	O God! place me among those who feel happy when doing good and seek forgiveness when doing wrong.
● أللَّهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مَا تَحُوْلُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَعَاصِيْكَ؛ وَمِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ جَنَّتَكَ وَمِنَ اليَقِيْنِ مَا يُهَوِّنُ عَلَيْنَا مُصِيبَاتِ الدُّنْيا؛ وَمَتِّعْنَا بِأَسْمَاعِنَا وَأبْصَارِنَا وَقُوَّتِنَا مَا أحْيَيْتَنَا؛ وَاجْعَلْهُ الوَارِثَ مِنَّا؛ وَاجْعَلْ ثَارَنَا عَلى مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا؛ وَانْصُرْنَا عَلى	O God! Provide us with such a fear (of You) that saves us from disobedience to You, such an obedience (of You) that entitles us to Paradise, and such a certainty that renders worldly disasters easy for us. (O God!) make us avail ourselves from our ears, eyes and power as long as You keep us alive and to the last moment of our life, avenge those

مَنْ عَادَانَا وَلا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبَتَنَا في دِينِنَا وَلا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيا أكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا وَلا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا وَلا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لا يَرْحَمُنَا.	who oppressed us, give us victory over our enemies, let not our calamities be those of our faith and our greatest sorrows be for worldly affairs, let not our knowledge end in materiality and the merciless our rulers be.
● أللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي بِالاسْلامِ قَائِمَاً، وَاحْفَظْنِي بِالاِسْلامِ قَاعِدَاً، وَاحْفَظْنِي بِالاِسْلامِ رَاقِدَاً، وَلا تُشْمِتْ بِي عَدُوَّاً وَلا حَاسِدَاً، أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أسْألُكَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ خَزائِنُهُ بِيَدِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ خَزائِنُهُ بِيَدِكَ.	O God! save me through Islam in sleeping, sitting and standing (positions), and save me from the blames of the jealous and envious fellows. O God! I ask you to give me of all the good the treasures of which you keep and I take refuge in you of all the evils the treasures of which you hold.
● أللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَ نَفْسِي وَأَنْتَ تَوَفَّاهَا، لَكَ مَمَاتُهَا وَمَحْيَاهَا، اِنْ أَحْيَيْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا؛ وَاِنْ أَمَتَّهَا فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا. أللَّهُمَّ اِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ.	O God! You created my soul and You make it die- its life and death are Yours. If You keep it alive, save it and if You make it die, forgive it. O God! I beseech You to grant me health and safety.
● أللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ الْنَّارِ.	O God, Our Lord! Bestow upon us good here and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the torment of Fire.
● يا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إنَّ اللَّهَ باعِثُكُمْ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ فُجَّاراً، إلاّ مَنْ صَدَقَ وَأدَّى الأمانَةَ	O merchants! God will resurrect you among evil- doers in the Day of Judgment unless you tell the truth and are good trustees.
● أَيَّتُهَا الاُمَّةُ؛ اِنِّىْ لا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيْمَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ وَلكِنِ أُنْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُوْنَ فِيْمَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ.	O my people! I am worried about you as to what you know not, but be careful about practicing what you know.
● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْقَصْدِ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْقَصْدِ، فَاِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالى لا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوْا.	O people! Be moderate, be moderate; for verily, the Exalted God will not be fed up unless you are fed up.

● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لا تُعَلِّقُوا عَلَىَّ بِوَاحِدَةٍ، مَا أَحْلَلْتُ اِلاّ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ تَعَالى وَمَا حَرَّمْتُ اِلاّ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ.	O people! Do not attribute anything to me. I declared nothing as lawful or unlawful save what the Exalted God had ordered me.
● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِتَّقُوْا اللَّهَ وَأَجْمِلُوْا فِي الطَّلَبِ؛ فَاِنَّ نَفْسَاً لَنْ تَمُوْتَ حَتَّى تَسْتَوْفِىَ رِزْقَهَا؛ وَاِنْ أَبْطَأَ عَنْهَا فَاتَّقُوْا اللَّهَ وَأَجْمِلُوْا فِي الطَّلَبِ.	O people! Fear God and be moderate in seeking your sustenance, for no one dies before receiving his sustenance in full, though late. So, fear God and be moderate in seeking your sustenance.
● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِتَّقُوْا اللَّهَ؛ فَوَاللَّهِ لا يَظْلِمُ مُؤْمِنٌ مُؤْمِنَاً اِلاّ اِنْتَقَمَ اللَّهُ تَعَالى مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ.	O people! Fear the Exalted God, for by Him I swear that He will avenge, in the Day of Judgement, any believer who oppresses another believer.
● أَمَّا بَعْدُ أَلا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَاِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ يُوشَكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ رَسُولُ رَبِّي فَاُجيبَ؛ وَأَنَا تَارِكُ فِيكُمْ ثِقْلَيْنِ: أوَّلُهُمَا كِتَابُ اللَّهِ فِيهِ الْهُدَى وَالنُّورُ؛ مَنِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِهِ وَأَخَذَ بِهِ كانَ عَلَى الْهُدَى؛ وَمَنْ أَخْطَأَهُ ضَلَّ؛ فَخُذُوا بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالى؛ وَاسْتَمْسِكُوا بِهِ وَأَهْلُ بَيْتِي؛ أُذَكِّرُكُمُ اللَّهَ في أَهْلِ بَيْتِي؛ أُذَكِّرُكُمُ اللَّهَ في أَهْلِ بَيْتَي.	O people! Verily, I am a human being who will meet the messenger of my Lord in near future and follow his call (i.e. die). I leave with you two grand things: the Book of God and my Household. The former abounds in light and guidance. Whoever grasps at it and discerns it, will be guided aright and whoever falls short in that, will go astray. So, grasp at the Exalted God's Book and (try to) discern it. As to the latter, I remind you of God! I remind you of God!
● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَا جَاءَكُمْ عَنِّي يُوَافِقُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ، فَأَنَا قُلْتُهُ؛ وَمَا جَاءَكُمْ يُخَالِفُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ فَلَمْ أَقُلْهُ.	O people! What is narrated to you on my authority is mine if it accords with the Quran, and what is narrated to you on my authority is not mine if it is in discord with it.
● أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، اِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَاِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، كُلُّكُمْ لِآدَمَ وَآدَمُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ، اِنَّ	O people! Your Lord is one and your father is one. You are all sons of Adam, and Adam was created from soil. The most pious among you is

أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ لا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلى عَجَمِيٍّ اِلاّ بِالتَّقْوَى.	verily the most worthy of honor to God. No Arab is superior to a Persian, save for virtue.
● لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا ادُّخِرَ لَكُمْ مَا حَزِنْتُمْ عَلى مَا زُوِىَ عَنْكُمْ.	O poor people! If you knew about the saved things for you, you would not feel sad for what you lack now.
● لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ لَأحْبَبْتُمْ أنْ تَزْدَادُوْا فَاقَةً وَحَاجَةً.	O poor people! If you knew what you have with God, you would like to fall into more poverty and need.
● الدُّعَاءُ يَنْفَعُ مِمَّا نَزَلَ وَمِمَّا لَمْ يَنْزِلْ فَعَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ بِالدُّعَاءِ.	O servants of God! I advise you to prayers, for praying efficaciously affects what has already happened and what has not.
● اِبْنَ آدَمَ؛ أَطِعْ رَبَّكَ تُسَمَّى عَاقِلاً؛ وَلا تَعْصِهِ فَتُسَمَّى جَاهِلاً.	O son of Adam! Be obedient to your Lord to be considered wise, and refrain from disobedience to Him, not to be regarded unwise.
● ابنَ آدمَ؛ اِذا أصْبَحتَ مُعافَى في جَسَدِكَ آمِنَاً في سِرْبِكَ؛ عِنْدَكَ قُوتُ يَوْمِكَ؛ فَعَلى الدُّنيا العَفَاءُ.	O son of Adam! When you have health of body and peace of mind and your sustenance you easily find, what use of the (material) world to mind!
● ابنَ آدَمَ؛ عِنْدَكَ مَا يَكْفِيكَ وَتطْلُبُ مَا يُطْغيكَ، اِبْنَ آدَمَ؛ لا بِقَلِيلٍ تَقْنَعُ؛ وَلا بِكَثِيرٍ تَشْبَعُ.	O son of Adam! You have at your disposal what suffices your needs, (but) continuously you seek what to rebellion in you leads! O son of Adam! You're not convinced with less, nor are you satiated with more!
● رَمْيَاً بَنِي اِسْمَاعِيْلَ فَاِنَّ أبَاكُمْ كَانَ رَامِيَاً.	O sons of Ishmael! Practice shooting, for your father was an archer.
● لا طَاعَةَ لَِمخْلُوقٍ في مَعْصِيَةِ الخَالِقِ.	Obedience to a creature is not allowed, if it's disobedience to the Creator.
● طَاعَةُ اللَّهِ طَاعَةُ الوالِدِ، وَمَعْصِيَةُ اللَّهِ مَعْصِيَةُ الوالِدِ	Obedince to fathers is obedience to God, and disobedience to them is disobedience to Him.

● سَاوُوْا بَيْنَ أوْلادِكُمْ في العَطِيَّةِ، فَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُفَضِّلاً أحَدَاً لَفَضَّلْتُ النِّسَاءَ.	Observe equality in gifting your children. Were I to give priority (on this respect), I would prefer women (i.e. daughters).
● اِحْفَظِ اللَّهَ تَجِدْهُ أمَامَكَ.	Observe God's (orders and prohibitions) to see Him ahead of you (as a guide).
● أَرِقَّاءَكُمْ أَرِقَّاءَكُمْ؛ فَأَطْعِمُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ؛ وَأَلْبِسُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَلْبِسُونَ؛ وَاِنْ جَاؤُا بِذَنْبٍ لا تُرِيدُوُنَ أَنْ تَغْفِرُوهُ؛ فَبِيعُوْا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ وَلا تُعَذِّبُوهُمْ.	Observe the rights of your slaves and share them in your own food and clothing. Should they commit sins you do not wish to forgive, sell them to (other) servants of God and stop torturing them thereof.
● صِلَةُ القَرابَةِ مَثْراةٌ في المَالِ مَحَبَّةٌ في الأهْلِ مَنْسَاةٌ في الأَجَلِ.	Observing the bonds of kinship leads to abundant wealth, affection among families and the postponement of death.
● صِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ تَزِيْدُ في العُمْرِ وَتَدْفَعُ مِيْتَةَ السُّوْءِ.	Observing the bonds of kinship prolongs one's life and expels bad deaths.
● صِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ تَزِيْدُ في العُمْرِ، وَصَدَقَةُ السِّرِّ تُطْفِى‏ءُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ.	Observing the bonds of kinship prolongs one's life, and hidden charity cools down God's wrath.
● صِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ وَحُسْنُ الخُلْقِ وَحُسْنُ الجِوارِ يَعْمُرانِ الدِّيَارَ؛ وَيَزِدْنَ في الأعمَارِ.	Observing the bonds of kinship, good- temperedness, and good neighborliness make lands flourish and prolong people's lives.
● أَفْقَرُ النَّاسِ الطَّامِعُ.	Of all people, the poorest (indeed), are holders of greed.
● تَهَادَوْا تَزْدادُوْا حُبَّاً؛ وَهَاجِرُوْا تُورِثُوْا أَبْنَاءَكُمْ مَجْدَاً؛ وَأَقِيْلُوا الكِرامَ عَثَراتِهِمْ.	Offer gifts to each other to enhance your friendship, migrate to leave glory for your heir and connive at the faults of your great ones.
● تَهَادَوْا تَحَابُّوْا؛ فَاِنَّ الهَدِيَّةَ تُضَعِّفُ الحُبَّ؛	Offer gifts to each other to strengthen your friendship, for gifts enhance love and make spite and hatred

وَتُذْهِبُ بَغَوائِلِ الصَّدْرِ.	perish.
● تَهَادَوْا؛ فَاِنَّ الهَدِيَّةَ تُضَعِّفُ الحُبَّ؛ وَتُذْهِبُ بِغَوائِلِ الصَّدْرِ.	Offer gifts to each other, for it doubles your friendship and makes pique perish.
● تَهَادَوْا؛ فَاِنَّ الهَدِيَّةَ تُذْهِبُ بِالسَّخِيْمَةِ؛ وَلَوْ دُعِيْتُ اِلى كُراعٍ لَأَجَبْتُ؛ وَلَوْ أُهْدِيَ اِلَىَّ كُراعٌ لَقَبِلْتُ.	Offer gifts to each other, for it makes pique perish. Should I be invited to a party where lamb trotters are served, I will haste to it, and should that be gifted to me, I will accept it.
● تَهَادَوْا؛ اِنَّ الهَدِيَّةَ تُذْهِبُ وَخْزَ الصَّدْرِ؛ وَلا تَحْقِرَنَّ جارَةٌ لِجارَتِها؛ وَلَوْ شِقِّ فِرْسِنِ شاةٍ.	Offer gifts to each other, for it makes pique perish; and do not consider a gift insignificant, even if it is a goat's trotters in half.
● مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً في الإسْلامِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُوْرَاً يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ.	Old age spent for the cause of Islam, will bring man a (heavenly) light in the Day of Judgment.
● لَنْ يَغْلِبَ عُسْرٌ يُسْرَيْنِ: فَاِنَّ مَعَ العُسْرِ يُسْرَاً، إنَّ مَعَ العُسْرِ يُسْرَاً.	One difficulty will not prevail over two reliefs, for "Verily, with every difficulty there are two reliefs," and "Verily, with every difficulty there are two reliefs.
● سَبَقَ دِرْهَمٌ مِائَةَ ألْفِ دِرْهَمٍ، رَجُلٌ لَهُ دِرْهَمَانِ أخَذَ أحَدَهُمَا فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ، وَرَجُلٌ لَهُ مَالٌ كَثِيْرٌ فَأَخَذَ مِنْ عَرَضِهِ مِائَةَ ألْفٍ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا.	One Dirham will be more valuable than one hundred thousand Dirhams when we compare two men, one of whom having only two Dirhams but giving one in charity, and the other having great wealth but giving one hundred thousand Dirhams of it in charity.
● عَدْلُ سَاعَةٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عِبَادَةِ سَنَةٍ.	One hour of (doing) justice is superior to one year of worshiping (God).
● سَاعَةٌ مِنْ عَالِمٍ مُتَّكى‏ءٌ عَلى فِراشِهِ يَنْظُرُ في عِلْمِهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عِبَادَةِ العَابِدِ سَبْعينَ	One hour of a learned man, who rests in his bed, meditating about his knowledge is worthier than seventy

عَامَاً.	years of praying by the pious.
● حَرْسُ لَيْلَةٍ في سَبِيْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أفْضَلُ مِنْ ألْفِ لَيْلَةٍ يُقامُ لَيْلُها وَيُصامُ نَهارُها.	One night of being on the look- out in the way of God, the Great and Powerful, is better than one thousand nights of praying and one thousand days of keeping fast.
● المُجَاهِدُ مَنْ جَاهَدَ نَفْسَهُ في طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ.	One who fights his own self in obedience to God is a (true) struggler in the way of Him.
● المُقِْيمُ عَلى الزِّنَا كَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ.	One who insists on adultery is like unto an idolater.
● شَاهِدُ الزُّوْرِ لا تَزُوْلُ قَدَمَاهُ حَتَّى يُوجِبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ النَّارَ.	One who testifies to falsehood won't step in the road before God makes Hell his unavoidable abode.
● لَنْ تَزُوْلَ قَدَمُ شَاهِدِ الزُّوْرِ حَتَّى يُوجِبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ النَّارَ.	One who testifies to falsehood won't step in the road before God makes Hell his unavoidable abode.
● لا يَسْتَكْمِلُ العَبْدُ الإيْمَانَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ فيهِ ثَلاثُ خِصَالٍ: الاِنْفاقُ مِنَ الاِقِتارِ؛ وَالاِنْصافُ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ؛ وَبَذْلُ السَّلامِ.	One's faith will not get perfected save by three characteristics: giving alms in poverty; doing justice even if it's against one's own self, and greeting (people) a lot.
● الاَكْبَرُ مِنَ الاِخْوَةِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الأَبِ.	One's older brother is like unto his (her) father.
● الظُلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ.	Oppression is (the source of) darkness in the Day of Judgement.
● آفَةُ الشَّجاعَةِ البَغْيُ؛ وَآفَةُ الحَسَبِ الاِفْتِخارُ؛ وَآفَةُ السَّمَاحَةِ المَنُّ؛ وَآفَةُ الجَمَالِ الخُيَلاءُ؛ وَآفَةُ الحَديثِ الكَذِبُ؛ وَآفَةُ العِلْمِ النِّسْيَانِ؛ وَآفَةُ الحِلْمِ السَّفَهُ؛ وَآفَةُ الجُودِ السَّرَفُ؛ وَآفَةُ الدِّينِ الهَوَى.	Oppression ruins (the value of) bravery; self- pride ruins familial dignity; conferring favors spoils (the worth of) generosity; selfishness ruins (the value of) beauty; telling lie breaks (the validity of) speech; forgetfulness ruins knowledge; ignorance ruins fortitude; extravagance ruins generosity, and carnal desires ruin (one's) faith.

● ضِحْكُ رَبِّنَا مِن قُنُوطِ عِبَادِهِ.	Our Lord laughs (amazingly) at His creatures' hopelessness.
● البُكاءُ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَالصُّرَاخُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ.	Out of mercy is shedding tears and out of Satan, shouting.
